Homely BedroomsWe have 20 bedrooms, all of which have recently been decorated and refurbished. The residents' rooms are homely and can be decorated accordingly to individual taste.
Each of our bedrooms include: A profiling bed, a TV, an armchair, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table and a vanity unit with a mirror. On admission, residents are welcome to bring small personal possessions, furniture or furnishings with them, as we feel this is an important thing to do as it will give them that 'home from home' feel which will help them settle in. Activities ProgrammeAll our activities are tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of our residents. Whether you prefer peace and quiet, one-to-one sessions, or joining in with all our group activities, the choice is entirely yours.
Charlotte, our Activities Co-ordinator plans a varied programme each week, including our popular Wednesday Weekly Quiz, Gardening, Bingo, and Arts and Crafts, to name just a few! We also welcome a range of entertainers to perform for us, and the home hosts special events throughout the year including Christmas, Easter, and other celebrations that residents and their families love. Our residents also enjoy regular outings to garden centres, shopping centres, cafés, the railway station, and even the local pub and fish and chip shop! Call Bell SystemThere are call bells in each bedroom, so residents are able to access help if it's needed. We also have a comprehensive fire detection system.

Communal AreasThere is a friendly and tranquil atmosphere in our communal lounge area. The lounge has two conservatories which have a lovely outlook on the garden.
Our dining area is a welcoming and versatile space that’s perfect not only for enjoying delicious, freshly prepared meals but for taking part in a variety of activities and social gatherings. Whether our residents are joining in with games or crafts, or simply socialising with their family and friends over a cup of tea, our dining area is a welcoming space for everyone. Additional ServicesWe like to encourage everyone in our nursing home to take pride in their personal appearance.

Alternatively, if you already have your own hairdresser who you still wish to use, they can visit or if you are still able to, you can visit your chosen hairdresser outside the home. Our chiropodist Phil from Body Matters visits every 6-8 weeks. Wi-FiThere are call bells in each bedroom, so residents are able to access help if it's needed. GardenWe’re delighted to share that our residents can easily access our garden through the double doors in our dining area via the ramp. During the warmer months, many enjoy spending time outdoors, soaking up the fresh air and sunshine while relaxing with a cup of tea and a few biscuits.

“As soon as I entered Edgemont View I sensed a welcoming and caring atmosphere. Small enough to provide the homely touch, and with the bonus of a lovely garden. I immediately felt that it was the right place for my mother.” - Resident’s Relative
