We are very proud of our kind, caring and well trained staff team led by Registered Manager Mrs Zsuzsanna Sandor

Edgemont View has an established staff team and we rarely have the need to use agency staff so we are able to provide our residents with excellent continuity of care. Our staff are all recruited from the local community and we have a very robust initial employment process. Many of the staff have worked at Edgemont View for a number of years, live locally, and are familiar with the area, which residents often find reassuring.
The team of approximately 40 staff is led by our new Home Manager, Zsuzsanna "Suzie" Sandor. Suzie is a qualified Registered General Nurse with many years of experience in caring for the elderly. She is supported by a whole range of devoted staff including her office manager Evie Fream and clinical lead Suzanne Davis, a team of Registered Nurses, Care Assistants, an Activities Co-ordinator, Maintenance Man, Cooks, and Domestic staff.
There is always a trained nurse in charge on each shift.
Qualified care staff are always there for you – they are on duty day and night and all of them have been carefully selected and trained to deliver sensitive and skilful care.
Night staff check and secure the building each night, and will make hourly checks to ensure you are comfortable, if you wish. Residents can always call for immediate assistance, if needed. Edgemont View is fully committed to staff training and development, and most care staff are qualified nurses or have NVQ 2, 3 or 4 qualifications. All new care staff have induction training within the first six weeks of employment, followed by foundation training within six months of employment.
Edgemont House has been providing ‘home from home', nursing care for over 20 years. It is owned and managed by a group of local GPs and two directors with commercial experience.
All our staff are taken through a comprehensive induction program and continue to have regular training and practical supervision throughout the year. We use an accredited training company to deliver our sessions and also have Q C F (previously N V Q ) training and support from City of Bristol College. Edgemont View also provides work placements for students on occasion enabling local young people to experience the field of care. We have a network of care workers, with a wealth of experience, most have an NVQ level 2 or 3.
Our supportive housekeeping and catering staff make up the team at the home.
